The 60-mile McCarthy Road begins in Chitina, 250 miles from Anchorage, and is well-known for its amazing scenery, historical railroad relics and opportunities for adventurous side-trips.  The dirt and gravel road is also notorious for frequent wash-boarding, teeth-chattering bumps and required slow pace.  If you are on a time schedule and want to get here quickly or want to travel more comfortably and more dramatically, you can see all the sights from the air as you travel virtually "bump-free" to or from your destination with the longest standing air charter service in the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park.

McCarthy Air offers charter service to and from a multitude of locations throughout the state of Alaska.  Listed below are the most common charter destinations and prices that include the number of passengers and gear.  Rates are based on one way travel per plane load beginning or ending in McCarthy.  (We can also fly you between a backcountry destination in the Wrangells and the city or other destination of your choice.)  Weight restrictions apply and prices may vary.  The following is just a listing of several of our charter flights to Alaskan cities.  Other destinations throughout the state are available. Feel free to call or email us for further information regarding these or other flights.
